This talk will cover:

1. Some common neuromyths and the evidence that busts them
2. Any neuromyths that might be actively damaging – ones we should actively avoid
3. What neuroscience research tells us about how we learn; the mechanisms and processes of learning and memory
4. What neuroscience research tells us about creativity – what it is, how we measure it.
5. Applying the science of learning in customer relations

Topic:

How do our brains learn, and what fuels creativity? Can this knowledge transform how we share information—be it in training, marcomms, or simply the team chat?

Despite its popularity, the VARK learning styles model (Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, Kinaesthetic) has been debunked, with evidence showing it doesn’t improve outcomes and may limit potential. Other persistent neuromyths, like using only 10% of our brains or being “left-brained” or “right-brained,” lack scientific support. What does neuroscience really say about these ideas, and how can we separate fact from fiction?
